BA Ryewine
12% vol
Taste
The flavor is pleasantly bittersweet. The roasty bitterness of rye bread crust is balanced with gentle sweetness of vanilla from oak barrels, a touch of chocolate, and the slightly sweet profile of rye whiskey. Hints of nuts and tobacco add depth to the background. The aftertaste is long and full-bodied, leaving a pleasant warmth from the alcohol.
Nose
The aroma is fairly intense. Foreground notes of rye bread and rye whiskey are complemented by hints of raisins, nuts, and a light caramel undertone.
Appearance
A chestnut-colored dark brown beer with a medium-sized, nicely lasting beige head. The beer is quite viscous, leaving a beautiful lace on the glass when swirled.
